Reception/Talk - Sue Allen

Sue Allen: Wild and Tame

The crisp and colorful works of Oregon printmaker Sue Allen will be on display in the Whiteaker Printmakers studio gallery October 16 through November 15, 2018. Come meet Sue and join us for a reception and a talk on Friday, Nov 2, 3-5 pm.

Sue’s inspiration comes from many directions, including the forest foothills of Mount Hood, where she now lives. Local flora and fauna, vast woods and mountains, and intimate gardens are all captured and captivating in her many-layered screenprints.

Sue Allen grew up in New York City, where she received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from The Cooper Union. Since 1975 she has lived in Oregon, working on printmaking, book arts, and as an art program coordinator. She is a member of the Rental Sales Gallery/Portland Art Museum, Print Arts Northwest, and shows her work in many shops, galleries, shows, and exhibits in Oregon and beyond.

Whiteaker Printmakers offers 24x7 printmaking facilities to Eugene area artists. The WhitPrint studio gallery is open to the public Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 am - 5 pm.
