Fine Arts Brigade

Fine Arts Brigade is a non-profit organization doing business as Whiteaker Printmakers, a fine-arts printmaking studio in Eugene, Oregon.

Mission

FAB’s mission is to preserve and promote the practice of traditional fine-arts printmaking through studio access, education, exhibitions, and related endeavors.

History

Whiteaker Printmakers started out in 2015 as a small business, offering printmaking workshops and 24-hour member access to a well-equipped printmaking studio. In 2017 the Fine Arts Brigade 501(c)(3) organization was formed to operate Whiteaker Printmakers as a non-profit. Current WhitPrint programs include workshops, studio memberships, membership grants, yearly print exchanges, online fundraising auctions, gallery shows, and a variety of other studio and community events.

Board of Directors

  • Heather Halpern, President and Executive Director
    Heather is a practicing professional artist focusing on printmaking. She runs the Whiteaker Printmakers studio and oversees its programs.

  • Paul Halpern, Treasurer
    Paul is the back office behind FAB and WhitPrint. Recently retired from a career in electronic hardware design, he is also WhitPrint's handyman and carpenter.

  • Laura Wingerd, Secretary
    Laura is a retiree from the computer software industry. Currently devoted to making art, she keeps her hand in high tech by managing the whitprint.com website.

Donations

As a 501(c)(3) organization (IRS EIN: 82-1687062), FAB can accept tax-deductible donations from individuals, and grants from charitable giving funds.
