“Pressing Matters 2018,” Whiteaker Printmakers' second juried printmaking exhibition, runs Nov 6 - 30 at the Emerald Art Center in neighboring Springfield, Oregon. Gallery hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 - 4, and on Friday, November 9, 5-8 pm, during the Downtown Springfield Second Friday Artwalk.

“Pressing Matters 2018,” Whiteaker Printmakers' second juried printmaking exhibition, opens November 6 at the Emerald Art Center in neighboring Springfield, Oregon. Thirty contemporary works selected by juror Margaret Prentice will showcase traditional printmaking techniques including etching, monotype, mezzotint, woodcut, linocut, screenprinting, and lithography. The exhibition runs through November 30.
The Emerald Art Center gallery is open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 - 4, and on Friday, November 9, 5-8 pm, during the Downtown Springfield Second Friday Artwalk..
Sue Allen, whose show “Wild and Tame” is at the WhitPrint studio gallery Oct 16 - Nov 15, visits the studio for a reception and talk Nov 2, 3-5 pm.
The 99 works submitted to Emerald Print Exchange 2018 will be exhibited at Out On A Limb Gallery for the entire month of October. They’re for sale — buy two, they’re small! — and all proceeds will benefit both FAB and PAN. Out On A Limb is open Wed-Sat 11-5 and Sun 9-3.
Local artist and WhitPrint member Robert Canaga exhibits his smaller paintings at the Whiteaker Printmakers studio gallery throught October 11. The studio is open to the public Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11AM to 5PM, or by appointment.
We’ll be at Out On A Limb Gallery an hour before First Friday Artwalk begins, to offer a sneak preview of the Emerald Print Exchange Show & Sale. Come schmooze with us and pick out your favorite pieces before the artwalk stampede arrives! The OOAL gallery will remain open for the artwalk, and the sale continues at the gallery through the month of October.
Diane Sandall returns to lead a two-day linocut workshop in the main studio at Whiteaker Printmakers, Sep 29-30, 2018.
Heather Halpern teaches an 8-week class for beginning printmakers. This class is offered by Lane Community College and takes place Thursday evenings in the Whiteaker Printmakers main studio. First meeting is September 27, 2018. Visit the LCC Continuing Education website for more information and to register for this class.
Whiteaker Printmakers hosts an Artist Talk and Reception for Robert Canaga in conjunction with his ongoing exhibit, “Smaller Works,” currently in the WhitPrint studio gallery.
Submission deadline is September 2 for “Pressing Matters 2018” presented by Whiteaker Printmakers and Emerald Art Center. Exhibit runs November 6-30 in Springfield, Oregon. All traditional (hand-pulled) printmaking techniques are eligible for entry. Four entries will be selected for cash awards of up to $500.00.
The Precious - Worship of Dragonfly & Cactus is an exhibition of mixed media work by Susan Detroy, Eugene artist and WhitPrint workshop instructor. On display in the studio gallery through August 30, 2018. Gallery hours: 11-5, Tuesdays and Thursdays, or by appointment.

Yuji Hiratsuka makes beautiful four-color etchings with a technique that uses only a single plate. He's coming back to Whiteaker Printmakers to teach a two-day workshop on August 4th & 5th, 2018.

BIG INK's invited artists from around the country bring their very large woodcuts for printing on WhitPrint's Trayle press.
Currently in the gallery is an exhibit of drawings & prints by Whitprint member and workshop instructor Lynn Pedersen. This wonderful collection of work will be on display through July 26. Please join us at a reception for Lynn on Friday, July 6, 5-8 pm.

May 14 is the deadline for submitting proposals for the BIG INK event at WhitPrint in July.
